TOKYO --(Dow Jones)- Gasoline stocks held by Japanese refiners fell by 67,645 kiloliters from a week earlier to 2.05 million kiloliters as of Jan. 3, the Petroleum Association of Japan said Wednesday.

NEW DELHI, Jan 7 (Reuters) - India's Reliance Industries Ltd has decided to stop gasoline supplies to Iran after fulfilling all contractual obligations, the Business Standard newspaper reported on Wednesday.

This follows a letter written by eight US Congressmen to that country's Export-Import Bank (Exim Bank) asking it to immediately suspend all financial assistance to RIL until the company agrees to stop selling gasoline to Iran.

U.S. retail gasoline prices have risen for the first time in 16 weeks as higher crude oil costs were reflected at the pump, the government said on Monday.
